Amazing hotel with its great wi-fi, outdoor swimming pool, and friendly staff. On my first stay, the staff provided valuable taxi tips. I'm excited to return for another city break!

Everything here was really good, I would come here again. The hotel had an exceptionally nice and perfect location minutes away from Pier. A shopping centre and a main market were right next door. Got a nice size...

Good location. It's a convenient location off Galle Road which is a nightmare during peak hour.
We stayed here a year ago and had a pleasant stay so decided to go back. We arrived at 1am in the morning and staff was already informed of our requirements. Front desk told us they had prepared a twin room with cot. When we got to room at 1.30am they had given us a queen with no cot. Then we had to change rooms and wait for cot in new room. By the time we got to bed it was 2.30am. We were not impressed. Also room 503 bathroom had mould. At breakfast, the staff were more interested in feeding management than customers. Food was first prepared for management and paying customers came second. We had booked a return stay through Booked.net so couldn't cancel. We got to Ramada at 2pm and had to wait for our room. We left our luggage in the room and went out. When we got back, there was a leak and the carpet was wet. We were not surprised. The manager that came to look at the leak never came back again. A room boy was sent to take us to another room. At breakfast, it was the same issue as the management had to be fed before the paying customers. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and would not recommend it!

Nothing! Rude staff who I heard were calling their guests names behind their backs in Sinhalese. (I grew up in Sri Lanka, so I understand).
Most things. We specifically asked for a cot for our daughter before we left, I later called to confirm and was told that everything was fine. When we arrived there after a long flight, low and behold, we were told that the only two cots at the hotel were already given to other customers and therefore that we would have to do without one. I told them that I had specifically asked for one, and later called to confirm. The hotel answer to this was that they hadn't confirmed the cot by writing when no one had told me that they would be confirming. A conformation for the confirmation? Overall very poor service!

A surprise to remember forever
We enjoyed the delicious kothu rotti and the cute atmosphere by the pool. The location is perfect for exploring, just a short walk to Galle Face Green.
The twin beds were smaller than expected, made sleeping a bit uncomfortable.

I had arranged and paid for an extra bed before we arrived and it took two phone calls, a face to face meeting and even threatening the manger to get a roll away bed - that I had paid for!!

The staff were excellent and very helpful other than the checkout. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from.
Evening buffet became boring as they were serving the same food every evening. It was designed for Ramadan celebrations which I understand but they should have had other options. The checkout was poor as we were given our bill which was incorrect they incorrectly charged us for accommodation and meals (as we had pre-paid via Booked.net) then we were made to wait while he attended other customers which I thought was rude. Fortunately for us a young lady pointed out the error of his ways and he then corrected the invoice.
